The only discs still made in Japan, these have a silver lacquer CD-R top surface and JVC's own Cyanine (green/blue) dye recording surface. It has a maximum recording speed of 52x and is packaged in 100 pc cake box/spindles. This JVC CD-R was NOT designed for thermal retransfer printing like that of the Rimage Everest or TEAC P-55.
Simply put, JVC CD-Rs are the best Blank CD-Recordable there are. JVC made the first CD-R disc working with Sony and Phillips to make the dye which would store the data on the CD-R. Each disc is still made in Japan; in fact they are the only company in Japan that still makes CD-R, so if you see a “Made in Japan” on any CD-R disc, be it a Sony, Fuji or Imation, you know it's made by JVC.
